I am Illegal Kartel

Illegal Kartel (Kevin Davis) was born in Pasadena, CA on March 11th,1982. He moved to Fresno, Ca, when he was two years old, and has beenthere ever since. He was introduced to hip-hop in 1987 and in 1995, he becameseriously interested in the industry and started working towards acareer as an artist. However, at this stage, he was still very young,and still highly influenced by the streets. In 2002, Illegal put out hisfirst Ep., "Born Wit A Platinum Tongue," under the stage name "Kollab."Once he saw the feed back, not only in his home city of Fresno, but evenas far as outside of California, he finally started believing that hismusic was his calling. After his first Ep., Illegal compiled two otherprojects, "Dunn Dolla Presents: Bold Printing the Map," and "Spoken intoExistance," while entering, and winning, many rap contests along theway. This allowed him the opportunity to show case his music, as well asbecome the opening acts for many artists such as "Sean Paul of TheYoungbloods","JT the Bigga Figga", and "The Outlawz". Unfortunately, Illegal was incarcerated and was sentenced to 36 months in prison. While waiting to be released, he wrote over 400 songs and prepared to turn his lifearound, through music, in the years to come. Upon his release, he putout an immediate mixtape, "The Black Tape Mixtape," featuring his group and protege "Dos Muchos," and an Lp, "Thug-lumaic."All of his hard work finally paid off and led him to where he is today.Currently, he is in the process of completing the highly anticipated, debut, album,"The Home Field Advantage," which is Produced,Executive Produced, and professionally mixed by Miles Davis of MilesDavis Productions. Illegal Kartel and Miles Davis were first introducedat "The Source Unsigned Hype," Regional Artist Show Case, where Mileswas the show case/headline producer. "He is exactly what the West needsat this time period, not only in his unique style and delivery, but inhis lyrical content as well," Miles contended. Miles Davis is known forhis work on BET's "BEEF: The Series," a QD3 ENT. production, as well ason the BEEF DVD set. He is also the "Audio Engineer" for Renegade 83Entertainment, a television producton company (BET's "The Boot," CMT's"Gone Country," and "Blind Date"). Also, with two guest appearances, on the album, is producer "Qp On Da Beats" (From the group Dos Muchos). The second Lp Is"Gauponopoly: The Street Album" produced by "Mister E" of Lompoc, CA.Both scheduled to be released mid 2009. Since 2007 Illegal has performed in citiessuch as Seattle, Washinton, Hollywood, California, and has headlined numerous shows in his home town Fresno California. His new hit single, "What it do/What it dont do" has landed him spins in clubs Such as "LAX" Hollywood, Ca., "Club Nacional" Hollywood Ca, "Cabo Wabo" Fresno Ca, "The Smoke House" Fresno Ca, "Roe" Fresno Ca, "Club 2039" Fresno Ca, and many more clubs in the Fresno and surrounding areas. He has also landed spins on radio stations such as B95 Fresno Ca, 93.5 The Beat Los Angeles Ca. and hosted the MySpace internet radio station 1.0 Da Lick.
